I have studied at Avoin taidekoulu, where intuitive painting is at the core of the practice. This has developed my own intuitive approach both to creating art and to experiencing it.

I am inspired by emotions, emotional states, nature, and colors. Often the painting and its color palette only truly emerge on the canvas. I may begin with an idea of the color scheme or another guiding concept, but ultimately the canvas itself carries the painting through to completion.
